Standing Committees

Rules/Bylaws - Chair: Larry Spataro. Members: Bob Hollis, Janet Thomas, Ken Mahoney. Purpose: to review, revise and update Party bylaws. 1st Goal: updated version by June 2005.
Budget - Chair: Kurt Troutman. Members: Don Aley, Sharon Aley, Ray Veeder. Purpose: set up 2-year administrative and political budgets. 1st Goal: updated budgets by April 2005.
Candidate Recruitment/Assistance - Members: _ Purpose: to create a successful Democratic slate for local elections. Goals: to create partisan officers' database by April 2005, to identify open seats, re-election status, candidate information network.
Membership - Chair: Steve Markel. Members: Patsy Petty, Myrl Lockett, Bob Hollis, Lorretta Briggs. Purpose: to reach out to new members and volunteers. Goal: to double membership by year end.
Communication/PR - Members: Rebecca McCroskey, Jane Horton, Ed Whalen, Sharon Hamilton, Patsy Petty, Tom Mason, Pat Shafer, Nana Krachtovil. Purpose: establish Democratic Party community presence through website, media, PR,editorials and advertisements.
Fundraising - Chair: Flo Shriver. Members: Patsy Petty, Pat Wright, Chris Hain, Mary Wiggins, Brian Rhinesmith and Cindi Posthumus. Purpose: to oversee plans for fundraising events throughout the year and to help organize teams for each such event.

Advisory Committees

Education - Co-chairs: Kimon Kotos, Jason Bolton. Purpose: to disseminate information re Democratic political issues through community forums and other means.
Election Integrity - Chair: Chris Kilgroe. Members: Mary Valentine, Rosemary Kowalski. Purpose: to utilize precinct delegates, poll watchers and others to monitor the elections process, to ensure that all elections are conducted accurately and fairly.
